Who is Oliver?

Oliver and the Sea was created to save the life of our cat and to spread awareness of a disease which kills male cats.

In 2014 we lost our beautiful black cat to a rare feline cardiac disease known primarily in male felines. A few months later we decided to adopt a kitten to somewhat fill the void in our home and our hearts. We named him Oliver.

At the first checkup appointment with Oliver our Veterinarian discovered a murmur-like sound in his heart. Several tests proved he indeed had Hypertrophic Cardiomathopy, the same heart disease that that killed our late beloved cat.

We were determined to save Oliver’s life. This meant a daily expensive beta blocker medication and bi-yearly appointments with a feline cardiologist who then will perform an echocardiogram.

As you can imagine this wasn’t easy financially. We needed to start a company that was unique, sustainable something everyone would enjoy and love.

Between Oliver and our love for the Ocean, we started Oliver and the Sea in 2015. A uniquely named brand which we design unique products for everyone to enjoy and to spread awareness of Hypertrophic Cardiomathopy.

Our wood products are made of genuine exotic wood.
